Bio
Professionally trained, Grant has played classic roles such as Sir Toby Belch in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and originated roles in The East, a play focused on the dawn of the Nazi movement. His stellar comedic timing, agile dance ability, and chameleon-like talents have also made him first choice for principal roles in Footloose, Bye-Bye Birdie, and Grease. His winning performance as Carl Hanratty in the musical Catch Me If You Can was a singular rendition.
Grant is a fast student of dialects, with a skill set ranging from multiple British intonations, Australian, Scottish, numerous US drawls, and accents echoing other regions of the world. Grant is a New Englander, having graduated from Dean College with honors and a degree in musical theatre.
During his tenure at Dean, he was nominated for the prestigious Irene Ryan Award three times. He starred in numerous original productions while at Dean College, including Restless, where he portrayed the volatile role of a school shooter. Additional performances include title roles in Shrek and You’re Good Man Charlie Brown, as well as the role of Jim Stark in Rebel Without a Cause. Other noteworthy roles include Will in American Idiot and Bill Sykes in Oliver.
While Grant’s main focus is theatre, he has earned a black belt in Taekwondo and is an all-around outstanding athlete, perfectly lending his skills to stage combat scenes. Currently, he is an admissions counselor at American International College in Springfield, MA while he actively pursues theatre opportunities in Western Mass, Connecticut, and New York.
